The ideal candidate will optimize our clients' global buying power, implement category strategies effectively, and ensure full compliance with business unit requirements. Emphasis will be placed on identifying cost-saving opportunities and meeting specific Business Unit needs.
This role involves working on-site near Glasgow at least three days per week, with occasional travel to other European sites. The successful candidate should have expertise in MRO/Capex procurement, a background in multi-site/global procurement, willingness to travel, and strong communication skills to influence remote and matrix-managed teams.
Qualifications:
Degree qualified, ideally complimented by a professional qualification such as CIPS.
Experience with mro / capex procurement across multiple sites from manufacturing.
Multi-country experience is highly desirable.
Strong communication and stakeholder management, with significant influencing and negotiation skills
Expertise in indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, contract implementation and compliance management.
